Inter-whats?

Today was a reality check.

Lactate salts and oxygen debt recklessly plowed into my training plan like a retiree en route to the farmers market, throwing any self-confidence about my fitness by the wayside.


Oh sure i can log 22hr weeks and bust out 6.5hr dirt rides.... but can i ride up a hill for 10 minutes at threshold? Shit no.

Well, as i like to say about training "you have to feel like crap before you feel good".

Let's hope all this crap isn't in vain.

What's wrong with the plot? It looks to me like you did 4 intervals.

Those look like you got your HR up pretty solid.

Oh, sorry john. I forgot to explain to you that i only have TWO lungs and one REGULAR sized heart... unlike you. We can't ALL do back to back 3hr V02max intervals and live to tell about it.

And just for the record - Alex Boone never reveals his training locations, lest he expose any sign of his mid-winter form to the enemy.
