Money In The Bank

Another Saturday, another EPIC mountain bike ride.

Today's 6.25hr, 8800' grinder was one for the record books.

You know that you gave'r every last ounce of energy when you get home stoned as hell on endorphins, quivering with muscular fatigue, and are consumed with thoughts of how to maximize the caloric value of everything you eat.

In lieu of my utter exhaustion (despite taking two 30 minute power-naps, eating a whole box of cous cous and a pound of marinated Mahi Mahi, and chugging a healthy serving of Endurox and FRS+) i will give you the visual overview of today's adventure. Besides, who wants to read my boring musings anyway?

Started out at the 'ol standby: JPL gate.

The arroyo was lush.

View from the climb to Mt. Lukens. See Catalina Island off in the distance?

Looking out over the Valley / Santa Monica mountains.

Looking West from the top of Strawberry Peak

Looking up at the North face of Strawberry Peak from the bottom.

These dudes were playing Cricket in the Red Box parking lot! Bloody 'ell!

Ice? I thought this was L.A.?

Those radio towers in the distance are where the 4th picture was taken from... 4 hours earlier. Definitely puts things in perspective.

Looking down over Altadena all the way to the Pacific (that shiny gold thing in the distance) from Middle Sam Merill.

Happy trails!
