Long Live Base Miles

Winter base period is a special time.

There is always a new 'epic' ride to look forward to every weekend, eating as many calories as you can stomach is a good thing, and heart rate and power zones only comes in two flavors: endurance and recovery.

And the best part is - living in sunny LA - i am afforded the option of training in the mountains year round without the risk of being found in March by a forest ranger, decomposing under a log wearing only a wind vest and knee warmers.

That doesn't mean that i dont appreciate the beauty of a powdered mountain top.

I just don't want to be there. Looking is fine with me, thanks.

Long rides are always better with good company.

Anyway... that's enough blogging for now.

Time to log in the best kind of training hours: sleep.
